The Singeli Festival 2023 was an amazing celebration of Singeli music and culture that took place from October 25th to October 29th. Opening Party (October 25th): The festival kicked off with an electrifying opening party held at Alliance Française. The event featured performances by three talented artists, each contributing their own distinctive style to the stage. Balaa MC delivered an amazing live performance, while Dj Mushizo and Kadilida showcased their digital prowess, creating a deepening musical experience for the audience. Workshop: Singeli to the World (October 26th): A crucial part in the festival's schedule was the workshop held at Nafasi Art Space. Titled "Singeli to the World," the workshop provided a platform for participants to engage in a panel discussion about strategies to promote Singeli music on a global scale. It was a valuable opportunity for individuals to exchange insights and share their perspectives on this important topic. Uswazi Party at Mikumi (October 27th): The festivities continued with the Uswazi Party at Mikumi, featuring performances by prominent Singeli artists including Mczo Morfani, Eno Plat, Wamoto, and Manfongo. The event drew a lively crowd, regardless of the entrance fee which ensured that attendees were treated to a night of unforgettable music and entertainment. Singeli Festi Street Parade and Samia Cup (October 28th): The day started with a community-oriented initiative, as participants gathered at Kigamboni Hospital for a general environmental cleanup. This display of civic responsibility and community spirit set the tone for the subsequent street parade to Rongoni Beach Resort. The parade not only showcased the festival's lively spirit, but also drew attention to the natural beauty of the area. Later in the day, the excitement continued with the final match of the Singeli Festi Samia Cup 2023, held at Tuamoyo Stadium. This sporting event served as a prelude to the main event of Singeli Festi 2023, building anticipation for the grand celebration scheduled for the following day. Main Event at Rongoni Beach Resort (October 29th): The climax of the Singeli Festival 2023 took place at Rongoni Beach Resort. The main event featured a diverse lineup of Singeli artists, who delivered unforgettable performances that resonated with the enthusiastic audience. It included the total number of 15,000 people who attended to the final event.
